Occipital neuralgia

Has anyone had the nerve ablation or bruce cutting anything besides never block for neuralgia? If so did it make it worse or better? Or did anyone find relief with something else?

I have thought about that but the thought of something in my body for some odd reason bothers me. Are you pain free from the neuralgia that might make it worth it. Did you try anything besides a nerve block prior to stimulator? I am so glad that it works for you thanks for the info. How long have you had it?

i have an occipital nerve stimulator that i absolutely love!!!

Thanks so much. Talked with someone that has had alcohol injections to kill nerve and had huge decrease in pain am going to bring this up to my pain dr. I know I shouldn't complain but if it wasn't for this and a little neuropathy I would almost be normal! Kep me posted wish you the best.

hi cash...actually that is what my new surgeon wants to do first.I heard it has no risks...but still doubt.I see him tomorrow and give u an update if anything new ;-)
