Hey sorry for the late update. I have been so busy in school. She was moved to ICU  on Monday and the latest cultures should be back by Friday. They couldn't identify the type of bacteria from the first set of cultures. She has a temp of 103 and they are working really hard to cool her down. She has become slightly delusional. She keeps reminding me to feed the cat. We don't have a cat. I will let you know if I know anything else before Friday and if I don't I will let you know about Friday's results.

Thank you so much for all of your prayers.

Thanks,
Charles

The test results came back...I can't begin to pronounce or spell what it is but it is a type of strep. They have adjusted the antibiotics. She was on vancomycian but they think she has built a resistance to it.

Okay they moved her out of ICU and onto the neuro floor. The Dr's think that by Dec. 3rd she should be well enough for her shunt to be replaced. Her VP shunt failed shortly after this whole mess started and they wouldn't replace it because they were scared of the infection spreading to her brain. After the surgery she will stay for another week then she can come home.

On another note. I am barely 18 so I am a natural slob. If I don't get this place cleaned up by time she comes home she will kill me. Any organizing tips? I don't know how this place got so cluttered but it is and I have no idea of what to do with it all. My sister is normally the organization person.

Thanks

Hi Charles...thanks for the update on ur sister....

hmmmm a mess huh?....well start in one small area and work out...like the bathroom.....I am sure u know where she keeps it all...just slowly look at a small area so it doesn't overwhelm u.

I am sure u can follow her lead in where things belong...and it is much easier to do as u go then to let it build...lol....but I am sure u r aware of that.

Please let Zenji know we r thinking about her : )
