Post surgery MRI?

I was told te morning after my surgery I would be taken for an MRI, however, while I was in the hospital I never had an MRI. I was in the hospital for 48 hours for my surgery so maybe they didn't do the MRI because I was doing so well?

Well I am gonna assume that eventually they will do a post-surgery MRI, right? Any ideas as to whether they will order one and about how post-surgery they do?

I'm 29 days post-surgery and see my NS in 12 days and f course will ask him then but wondered what others experience was.

  Hi...I did not have scans or a MRI that soon post op either....my post op MRI was 1 yr post op......

  Were u dx'd with EDS? Just wondering bcuz of the issue with the dissoluble stitches?

No I had no scans or anything...I do know that my NS told my DH that my surgery went GREAT and he was VERY pleased...even mentioning that it only took like 2 hours which is a few hours less than he thought.
I was in ICU for the first night and stepped down to a Neuro unit the next afternoon an stayed one night there and by 9:30 the next day my NS came in and sad it was my choice to leave that day or stay another night. I was like 'Peace Out'! LOL!!! I was miserable @ hospital a I had 3 boys at home who missed their Momma :)
I didn't have metal staples...I had dissolvable stitches (which got infected because I had a reaction to them and an allergic reaction to some double anti-biotic ointment) also over that I had surgical glue, however, it can off sooner than it should have because of it ring so hot and I was having horrible hot flashes and was sweating a lot.

i was taken for a ct scan...to see how it looks like 1 or 2 days post op.I couldnt have mri anyhow as for the metal staples.I got my first mri post op 3 months...did u have a scan or anything??? maybe they mixed up the words?
