Pregnancy and chiari

I was suppose to go in on halloween to meet the sturgeon and schedule surgery, but saturday I found out I am pregnant. They said I will need to have a c-section a labor is obviously the ultimate inner cranial pressure. Just wondering if anyone else has gone through pregnancy with chiari.

  Yes, many have gone thru pregnancy with chiari some aware of the chiari and some were not...I had my DD and was not dx'd with my chiari until yrs later.....

  A C-section is advised....as pregnancy can increase the pressure and the strain of natural childbirth is not good on the symptoms and issues u already have since u were considered a surgical candidate.

May I ask what symptoms u were having b4 u found out u were pregnant?

Congratulations on your pregancy.  I'm so happy for you.  Are you still going through with the surgery or what will happen with that now since your pregnant.?  Hope every thing will turn out o.k.
