Professional golfer has decompression for CM

Thought some of you might find this interesting. JP Holmes is a great golfer in fact a few years ago he was arguably one of the top 10 on the tour. Started having symptoms a few months ago, diagnosed with CM1 and had surgery August 21, 2011 by Dr George Jallo

It was first seen on ESPN...good exposure for chiari to those who are unaware of what it is

It is good exposure, because people such as me never heard of chairi until I was dx myself.  It is a scary thing to have and the more exposure hopefully will lead to more understanding.  Thank's for sharing

  I remember seeing this when it was first announced....my only issue was how fast they made it sound that recovery could and should be.....


  Not all that realistic, not that some have a faster recovery then others, but it is not the normal time frame.

Yes I think recovery varies greatly...JP Holmes just announced he will be playing in his first tournament back first week of Dec - hes already playing rounds of golf daily and recovered quickly. Another example of how much this condition varies from person to,person
