Hi ya'll,
As some of you know I had surgery 8/15/11... 6 months ago. I had an MRI last week because I'm still having pain and balance issues (still in a wheelchair). I also have no proprioception on my arms and legs.. that means when my eyes are closed and I'm not moving them, I can't tell where my arms and legs are or what position they are in. I also can't feel covers on my legs, etc.
MRI says : Operative changes appreciated (I'm shorting some of this.. it says what operation). There is persistent "pegging" of the tonsils. There is ample CSF space central in the cervicomedullary junction.
Annular bulging at the c4-5 level with central canal compromise. There is no cord compression
Annular bulging at the c5-6 level without central canal compromise
Annular bulging at the c6-7 level without central canal compromise
Enlarged heterogeneous thyroid with inferior extension on the left is appreciated but incompletely assessed on this exam. Thyroid goiter is suspected. This may be assessed with ultrasound if relevant.
---
As for the thyroid, they did blood work that came back normal so next week I get an ultrasound.
Would the bulging be the cause of my pain? I know ya'll aren't doctors, but I appreciate your opinions.
Thanks,
Brenda
