Question for the Ladies

I have what may be a silly question, but its been on my mind.  I am in the process of scheduling surgery, but first I need to meet with my NS and go over the surgery in detail along with risks and so forth, then it will be scheduled.

Has anyone had their period during surgery?  Do they try and schedule around it?  Sometimes it just doesn't come when it's supposed to.  Just wondering if this is a problem regarding surgery, I sure don't want to deal with it during surgery.

I was 16 at my first surgery, and of course i got my period while in the hospital. its not a big deal, the only difference is you have to wear pads. praying for you and your surgery!

No question is silly and to me that is an important question.....I know it was asked b4 but I do not recall the answer....I did not have that issue as I went into early menopause....so it was a non issue for me....but trust me if I still had it , it would have been a major concern.

Talk to your Dr, but I would imagine they have ways to handle it as well as I am sure if you were starting with it when you go in surgery may cause it to stop as surgery is a trauma to the body as a whole....

Let us know what your Dr has to say on this.....they are better suited to let you know how they deal with it.
