Really Fibro??

This question is about me. Since my daughter found out she had CM, I have wondered about myself.

I have suffered from headaches since I was young. I have always had neck and back pain. I went to the Dr over a year
ago, and they said I had Fibro. My neck always hurts! ~ I also read that they believe that this could heredity? and from the mother? Has anyone ever heard of this?

  Hi...as far as chiari being genetic or a form of heredity, that research is still being done, and I have not heard from the mom...it may be more from one -parent then another but in MHO I feel it can be from either.

As for Fibro, I was dx'd with it, and after I was dx'd with chiari I was told no I did not have fibro, the pain was from the chiari and EDS....

U may want to have further testing just to make sure.

My PCP was also telling me I had fibro I started crying and told her that was them saying they dont know what's wong that is when they did MRI for MS and found chiari.  I also have EDS.
