Shanmomof3 is in recovery!

Just got word on Facebook that she is out of surgery, doing fine, and will be in recovery for at least another hour and a half.

Shannon Moon McKee it is 730 shannon is doing fine! Still sleeping, some pain , but she has got the pain button so she is pretty much out of it. All ana all she is doing good. If there are any changes i will let yall know. thanks again

Shannon Moon McKee good morning everone...... this is kenneth. Shannon had a good but bad morning. she slepped all night from 1100 till about 600 this morning then she got sick again. she will be in ICU at least one more day, before she goes to a regular room. I told her of all the messages on her phone and facebook that everone sent. She smiled and tolad me to tell yall thank you and she would be on here some time later

Most likely....I also got sick...and it was the morphine for me..once it  was changed I was ok......

I tossed my cookies 2 times. Either cus of the Anestesia or because that area of the brain is the control center for nausea too and if its disturbed you will feel sick. I was able to handle the morphine with some pepcid.

Ha ha Selma you noticed ;) Thankx for help on that - it just dawned on me the other day i did that - but anyway - so, anyway, most likely from medication and not anything wrong with the surgery. Ok, good to know.  And thanks for posting her FB updates.

if it had been from surgery she would still be sick...and much more so then she was.....a CSF leak will make u really sick.

Shannon Moon McKee Shannon had a good night only to be slightly sick this morningandtohave the pain that goes along with it. she is going to be moved to a regular room and out of icu soon she is doing realy well according to the dr and she is in good spirits. i will let everone know what room she is in as soon as possible.

thats really good news (and kinda bad) but i been thinking about her, and wondering how shes been...Some people do get sick from the meds, and some even have allergic reactions to the meds so thats probably why they are not too alarmed....when i had surgery i was in the icu for 3 days, then reg room for 2--sounds like shes doing pretty good!!   Hugs to ya Shannon-- Hope you have a speedy recovery! I love you all so very much!! I cant sleep so i jumped on here and have been reading the posts and you guys are GREAT! I have definately been able to feel the prayers and good thoughts and they mean more to me than you know!

got my staples out today and we are suppose to fly home tommorrow BUT there is a chance I have a fluid leak, so I'm laying flat the rest of the day and I have to call Dr. Heffez in the morning. If the spinal headache eases up and things look better in the morning then we will come on home, but if not then we may be here a few more days. Please say a few more prayers my friends!!!!!

UPDATE: As long as nothing drastically changes in the next 18hours, mom and I will be leaving Wisconsin tomorrow and going home to Mississippi!! YAY!!!! Everybody here has been great but I'm ready to see my babies!!!! Please pray for safe and pain-free as possible travel!

You guys have no idea how much your prayers and support mean to me!!! I am home and have loved on and been loved on by my kids, family, and friends. And i'm being a good girl and resting like i'm suppose to! Its kinda hard not to because my whole family has turned into "wardens" lol and constantly tellin me to lay down or fussing if i try to do anything, but i know they are just doing it for my own good! I just cant tell you enough how much all of you mean to me! Thanks so much!
