How do you add images? I will post my pic that corresponds with yours so you have something to compare it too. The biggest difference I see between mine and yours is where your spinal canal opening is, there is alot of black area around it. That is good, because as Dr. Heffea explained it to me, the black is cerebralspinal fluid and that is what you want. My film shows the whole area is gray, meaning cerebellum is filling up that opening and restricting CSF flow. And in fact in my CSF flow study, it show diminished flow both above cerebellum and below foramen magnum.
Tell me if or how I can post my pic here and I will so you can compare too. And thanks for posting yours because I have wanted to compare mine to others just to see differences and similarities too.
look better then mine..
like carolyn said hope your NS is giving you the answers you are seeking..
Hello
Yeah, I looked at my MRI pics and they look much the same. It doesn't appear that there is overcrowding near your spinal cord but these pictures are so hard to read if you aren't trained to do so!! I remember looking at mine and thinking something wasn't right and then when I asked my NS he told me that it was normal.
Hopefully you are getting the answers you need from your NS!
Carolyn
I am not a radilogist and do not know how to read films. Are you going for a second opinion if you are not getting the answers you want from this dr? Good luck to you and please keep us posted.
Looking at all your pictures and pulling up my MRI images (which I have all of them) there is not a big difference.
My Chiari herniation is a bit more at 5mm (that doesn't always matter as I am learning more about chiari) but as far as the spinal canal I could not see any difference.
What are your symptoms again?
I know you mentioned facial pain.
I suffer mainly with dibilitating headpain and tremors. Of course there are many more.
The frustration with not knowing what is going on and why... is at times too much to handle. Just 1 year ago I was just fine. I had the headaches but they were so mild they were more annoying than anything and now the growing list of symptoms is ruining my life. Hang in there.
