Still having headaches

I need some opinions.
I had chiari surgery In 2011 and had it repaired in 2012. I'm still having awful headaches!  My new NL says I have occipital neuralgia. When I read about occipital neuralgia it said nausea occurs rarely. Well, I vomit almost every time.
I had a nerve block and it did nothing. 2&1/2 weeks ago I had Botox. So far... It's not working. I still have about one more week to see if its going to work.
Last weekend my headaches were so bad she started me in steroids. The headache was gone within 2 hours. Does it normally go away that quickly with steroids?
I can't help but feel like something else is going on. Today she said she wants me to see a psychologist about anxiety. Seriously, I don't feel like I have anxiety! My head hurts!
Any opinions??

Ouch....a pseudo does not mean a shunt...and I guess the 2nd Dr knew a bit more about Chiari then the first one u had....

There are so many that tell us what we feel is good info, but it is limited info and it is hard to know the difference and when u have pain u just want it to stop....so sorry u had to go thru that.

The shunt must have been drain off too much CSF and that is y  u felt worse when u stood up....goodness...

I had a pseudo and first NS said I needed a shunt to "repair" the pseudo. After he put the shunt in I couldn't stand up without crying.
When second NS repaired the leak he said it was 4mm and was shocked at how long a delt with the pain.

Decompression 9/2011, developed pseudo, LP shunt placed 1/2012, dural repair 2/2012, shunt removal 4/2012. Before my shunt went i had a LP and my pressure was 10 (normal).
However, I am having high pressure ha when I sleep mi sir up..... They go away. But these aren't the ha that are concerning me.
The ha are the same as before the SX. Right side of back of head and right side above eye. Last 3-4 days then switches to the other side and last 1-2 days. I'm nauseated with ha but light or sound does not bother me.
I have asked all of my dr.s abt EDS and they say no. But at this point I feel like something else must be wrong.

  Hi Tracy,

Have u had all the related issues ruled out, like EDS, it can cause u to have HA's..... are they the same type HS u had b4? or is it different?

Have they ruled out ICP?

Many of us have developed a related issue post op....U said u had a repair, can u refresh us as to what that repair was for?

Sorry...sending u healing MoJo ~~~~~
