Such a bad reaction to explaining Chiari ...

Just been to a friends for a few drinks and ended up explaining my condition to her friend in which then replied "wow u can die pretty easy then"....

What the...

So no its got me thinking.... Isn't common for a blow to head to kill? I have read isolated incidents before.... And in my liFe i have smashed my head many times ( maybe why herniation so big ) and obviously careful not tobhit head now .. But now worried again... Maybe cause had a drink i am panic

  Neone Chiarian or not can die from a blow to the head, but it has to be quite the blow.

We do need to be a little more careful then others, but like RheaAnn said just enjoy ur drink and ur friends....one of them can die from alcohol poisoning, or have an MVA  if they want to get picky....lol...relax

I'm not sure how "sensitive" we all are. I was in a car accident a few weeks ago and I hit the back of my head pretty hard. I had a CT done 5 days later because it takes time for my head to react and I had just a mild inflammation! No excess fluid, nothing broken. Then again, it would take a pretty hefty blow to the "normal" person's head to cause death, right? I guess it depends on where exactly you would hit your head (as in the posterior fossa region).

And a drink sounds wonderful right now! Enjoy! :D
