my treasure this week is sharing with my  DD all her wedding plans...shower and all the thank yous....all of it  I am just soooooooo thankful to be a part of : )

My reason for fighting is my family. My three precious little girls.  They really are wonderful. Even when they don't listen.   : ). My five year old sat on my lap tonight. And I was having bad pain and she dis not move did not say a word.  Than I went to lay her down and found out she had a bloody nose..... She didn't want to make mommy hurt more so she laid there and didn't tell me.  I cried at this for an hour.     Poor precious sweet baby.   I owe them all so much.

My family of course! My husband is so loving and supportive and my 3 wonderful children are the best! My boys ages 5 and 7 started playing soccer last week (first year) and first game is Saturday and I can't wait! And my 3 year old daughter is the sweetest thing. It's like she know mommy is sick! Lately she has been grabbing my head and kissing it everywhere!

Having my friend over today who's treated me to a spa experience because I wasn't allowed to go to eurodisney. X

My 2 sons and my beautiful Granddaughter.
just to share a little of it. My youngest son said.. Mam... your getting wrinkles.. I said.. Me? Wrinkles.. never.. they are laughter lines.
His reply 'Nothing is that funny'
I'm so proud of both my children. And when I see my youngest still being his old funny self even with everything the Chiari is putting him through I could burst with pride.
Now how could that not put a twinkle in your eye

I have to add ALL OF U!!!...u r great in how u support each other, and even when in pain, come to the rescue of ur fellow chiarians....this group is amazing!!

And to point out, u all have positives in ur life....that is also something to make note of : )

This week my treasure is my nephew Dan, he agreed to alter serve for my DD's wedding....my sister did not think he would do it : )

It is nice that he is willing..being in high school he is at that age that it is all a bother....

the twinkle in my eye is my loving daughter, the fact that she continues, to have a positive attitude,do great in school, and have the moral fiber that I and my wife instilled in her, She is the twinkle that makes me keep my eyes open.......

this weeks treasure???? my bff found out her appt. at the mayo clinic has been moved up to the first week of nov.  they recently found 3 lumps in her breast.  she will have the most aggressive and best care possible AND they caught it early!  now that's a silver lining!

memories.....they are a part of me that i will always treasure and hold dearest to my heart.  i have photos and journals, least i should forget in days or years to come.  i cannot do many of the things i once loved and enjoyed.  i have no social life to speak of, cannot dance anymore, which i used to live and breath for, cannot even clean my own house.  but i have my memories to sustain me until such time that i am well enough to enjoy my life once again.  for this, i am thankful.  that i have friends to say, "remember when....", I am thankful.  i miss those days, but know that i will one day have them back.  one day, i will again be whole...but until then, for my memories, i am thankful, for they are my treasures and they sustain me thru this difficult time.  there IS light at the end of my tunnel

my treasure ... my two kids ,santana is 19 ,and curtis is 16,they drive me crazy with the drama,they don't help me much,but i would be nothing without them,they both were gone this evening ,and i almost cried the house was so quiet.they are definitley my treasures.

Hi my treasure this week is my sister ...she has always tried to be there for me, and she is one  of my dearest friends...she celebrates her 50th Birthday this Sunday...so I am trying to plan a little get together for her.

This morning I woke up with my little puppy laying beside me, on his back, so sweet. My treasures this week are my dogs. They have this instinct when mommy isn't feeling well. True story: one of the first times that I had passed out, I was in the shower. I had fallen out of the shower, with the shower curtain crashed around me. I came to, looking at the ceiling. I had my lab/shepard Daisy laying in front of me and at the time our 2 mini-dachshunds Molly & Rowdi laying on top of me. They were protecting me. This weekend, when I was feeling my worst with the dizziness, the dogs never left me side and spent the weekend snuggling with me. They truly are "man's" best friend!

this week my treasure  is my PCP being so willing to do testing to find what is going on with me....it is good to have someone from the medical world on ur side : )

ya know what puts a twinle in my eye is things we post - missed spelled and wondering thoughts that only we can understsnd and laugh! i did not correct anything on this post to show you what I mean. I have problems with knowing where my fingers are. I cannot type without looking at the keys and my fingrts. Sometimes even looking at the keys don't help!!! LOL!

this week...I have a new med that is my treasure...my Topamax...I wasn't sure at first, but it  is proving to be well worth sticking with as I feel soooooooo much better.

In fact, it leads to my other treasure I found the other day...Sunday, I felt well enuff to do my hair and make up to go to my nephews recital....well when I looked in the mirror, I saw the old me looking back....it had been soooo long...it was a strange sensation, but felt great too : )

Well it's not Tuesday for me yet but....
My treasure this week and always is my Heavenly Father Lord Jesus Christ!!! My faith gets me through this better than my husband, kids, family and friends! God is great and I know he's holding my hand till the end!

My treasure is that I think I  am FINALLY getting over this darn cold...oh and the fact that my kids haven`t seemed to pick it up yet (knock on wood)!!

Selma...so happy for you...but beware of the false security of meds...I have fallen victim to it all to often. I feel better so I do more and then it hits me full force!! I know, I know...I should follow my own advice :P

Oh I know Carolyn,I am still leery as to what ans how much to do, as baking pies was still too much...so I know I have restrictions, but I do feel better overall.

I'm glad to get over the cold too...hey, it's nothing like what I've already been through LOL after brain surgery I can take anything on!! Maybe that's a treasure too? Or my foggy brain talking...

What puts a twinkle in my eye is the possibility of one day feeling better, one day I won't live in constant pain, one day I will be able to laugh again without crying in pain after. So I guess what puts a twinkle in my eye is the ability to dream.

My husband and kids...all their love, concern, and support!! I don't knwo what I would do without them. And my Mom...she came all the way from TX to go with me to WI for my surgery. She's the best :)

This weeks treasure is just using windows live to share my DD's birthday with her....it doesn't matter that she is far away as long as we can share her smile and the events of the day : )

She was happy with the candies she found in her shoe this AM.....I was a sneak and handed them off to her DH when they were home for Thanksgiving....it was candy she did not have since she was very small, so she was a bit perplexed...fun : )

Good for you...sneaky is something we learn as moms!! My kids are so nosy that I even put all the Christmas presents in containers and shoved them in the crawl space. It's so full of dust and spiders that I know they won't go in there!! The things we moms do for our kids...lol..
