My treasures this week are many. First, I found this community, have reconnected with old friends but mostly I'm so grateful for my Husband, my Daughter, my Son and if it wasnt for my golden retriever Benito and my long haired german shepherd Tehya I would definitely be in the nut house. My kids say i love my dogs more than i love them. Lol. I told them I love all my kids equally. They're not pets to me. They're family. My DH is having a heart cath tmrw morning so I'm especially grateful for all the prayers.

I so remember my DH washing my hair for the first time too, it was so wonderful....it is nice to be able to appreciate the little things.... Glad u were able to get it done as it does help u feel more human : )
DH helped me wash my hair - ahhh, a clean head after a week, what a great feeling. brain surgery recuperation has certainly helped me appreciate the simple things in life :) June

Hi all what is ur Tuesday treasure this week....mine is that I had a lovely weekend with my DD and her puppy and that it will be snowing today and I will be inside and warm : )
How cute! And What a good role model.
I adore my pets, every one, every single day. I have a cat now who has no tail--he was born that way. He was dying of dehydration when I rescued him, but I worked very hard (& spent a lot of $$) to save his life. He had to be hand fed for quite awhile, so he is very spoiled, & I'm very attached to him. Anyway, now he has some mystery illness that causes lameness that waxes & wanes. It's so sad because he's only one! I know he must be in a lot of pain, & sometimes he looks anxious--and angry that he can't go out--but typically he's lame AND happy.
So that's my goal, in pain AND happy. It's worth a try.

Kids are like rubber they bounce back so well to things ....our bounce is not as readily able to rebound the older we get....we do try tho....lol...
I am so glad she had this outlook...what else can she have really? And I am sure u have a lot to do with that too, be proud of ur DD...u did urself proud <3
My daughter is making me twinkle today :) I went in to wake her up for school and her and her teddy bear had blindfolds on :) They were very cute.. then it is lumberjack day at school and she has boots, suspenders, plaid shirt, and a stick on mustache.. I love this kid, she just keeps me laughing!!!! She just got her EDS and POTS diagnosis and she is adjusting to the news and as happy as ever!!!! -zygy

My treasure I've been holding onto was this past weekend! I met a new friends who I the fiancé of one of our groomsmen. She kept me laughing the whole time and I had no time to think about anything painful or negative. Truly a blessing! I wish I could give some of her energy to all of you! It was the first time in a while that I felt alive! :)

My dog had boots....my FIL insisted on putting out rock salt even tho I bought the pet safe ice melt...and I had to get them to protect her pads.....
And my DD will get them for Lucy as some of the neighbors use rock salt too....I saw there is a salve u can spread on that is non toxic if they lick it, but protects their pads....easier then boots....lol...u still get mud...Lucy knows she has to sit and get her tootsies wiped dry first...lol..
My treasure was waking up on my own bed today after 16 days in the hospital most of which was laying flat :-( and a leak repair. Don't know who's happier that I'm home, me or dh! In midst of being so happy & grateful, I am feeling very paranoid about another leak, - I guess this is normal?
Does Lucy have her own closet? :)
If I bought anything for my dog, it would be boots. REI sells them. My floors are always muddy; one of the joys of country life.

LMAO....well Lucy has very little fur...it is so short...not sure how she will fair this winter....I think she needs a nice coat...DD got her one that looks more like a cape....not as capey as her pink rain coat...lol...but I do not see how it will keep her warm....
Once I was at the dog park, making fun of a dog in a purple fleece vest. (It wasn't even cold!). And when I looked to the other side of me on the bench, there was the dog's owner, a middle aged man--in a matching vest.

Today's twinkle was when I was singing to my daughter age 2.5 (in my really bad singing voice, a really bad song, and I'm hoarse too)
And she looked at me, and said, clear as day "All done MaMa! ALL DONE!"

Aww Buddy is a musk turtle and spends most of his time in water, but if I walk past the tank he will swim along with me...lol...and he has a corner he goes to to eat,...if he is very hungry he will not leave the corner but will look over his shoulder at u if u walk to the other end of the tank and he will open his mouth wide,,..it is funny...he also swims laps....then takes a shower under the filter water,....it is something to watch....

Our turtle is a 3-toed box turtle. My SO has had her for about 32 years. She's very sweet and likes to follow us around the house. She'll even play hide and seek with me -- I hide and call her, then she marches around the room until she finds me. Then I have to pet her under her chin before I find my next hiding place. It's hillarious.

WOW...what kind of turtle is it?.......I have a turtle here my DD found when she was 9....lol...I know her kids will be caring for it some day....lol...ours is named Buddy....lol...and she rescued a puppy named Lucy....since Buddy is older it is Uncle Buddy to Lucy....lmao...crazy....
I hope to be able to rescue a puppy some day soon.....
