What may seem like a small thing to treasure, I am very grateful that every morning, faithfully, a kind and caring bus driver comes and takes my dear one to school. My son gave her a small gift of thanks today and I told her how very much she is appreciated.

My treasure this week is my MIL is doing great...she had a stroke a few days ago....hence me being MIA a bit on here....anyway she is doing quite well.....sigh.,...
Hi ALL well my treasure this week is completing a tote bag for a gift for my DS and getting back to quilting the signature quilt for my SIL....then I have a Doll and another quilt on my project list....lol....it's never ending and will be this way till after Christmas as I will be making gifts.....
Fabulous news!!....I pray it all works out.....having the right school for your child is so important....mine went to private schools...and when she had a choice decided to continue.....they know when it is better for them as well....
The hopeful event that I learned about this week is that my husband got an appointment with a private school that may be better for our son. He is autistic and he's in the local high school, which is a top-notch school. However, in the program he's in, I am very concerned that he is not being challenged to do his best. He does very little work, but he sure has a great time socializing.
This private school would be light years different. Yes, I would have to drive him each day, but the opportunity for his growth is tremendous. I am extremely thankful for my husband's efforts; and I am extremely happy for the opportunity to view this new school option.
Hi all my treasure this week is, my ironing board was taken up to my sewing room....yup...I can work all day up there and maybe finish the quilt???....I am so happy right now....I did start my next project...a tote bag for my sisters bday....which is this week....yikes...cutting it close...lol....
Hope everyone can find a bright spot in their week to share <3
The blessing I want to acknowledge this Tuesday is the extra strength I have been given to carry out an important purpose in my life. Seventeen years ago, God gave me challenging assignment. My son was born without the corpus callosum that joins the left and right hemispheres of the brain. As a result, he has many developmental and cognitive challenges. He also has a seizure disorder for which he takes daily medication.
There are many days when I get frustrated and frightened about whether I am really the right mother to be caring for my son. He has so many needs. But then I reflect on my emotional strength, my sense of humor about the different ways that I do things, my son's father who partners with me everyday, and the general sense of optimism that God gave me to get me through the toughest days. I am thankful for all the extra fortification that God gave me to be able to do a good job mothering my son.
@kwalker.....let us know about the deer family.....
My treasure this week....is I have a wonderful family and even tho at times I may feel left out or forgotten....I know how much they love and care for me <3
Kwalker, you are the treasure that I am blessed with today. Your love of animals is inspiring to me and I hope you go on to inspire others to love them.
My daughters team won the Basketball Championship for our region tonight! Go Eagles!! and the headache that has been torturing me all week was vacant during their game. So proud:)
My treasure today is that of my two nephews I finally got to meet today after so long. Though sad ccircumstances surround the meeting, I was ever so grateful that I got to see them for the very first time. They were the Iights to lighten the mood surrounding all the stuff going around them. They were precious. I will never forget this day.
Selma the deer story is such an inspiration for everyone that has had some dealing with thus beautiful creature. How he made a whoke neughborhood come together to provide for him and protect him against outsiders. I think hehas finally started a family of his own. I saw two big deer and two babies sstanding in the middle. So I'm hoping to see them Thursday as that is when he usually is in our back yard to confirm my suspicious about him.
Hi Cindy....I can feel how open and upbeat you are...what a blessing.
They say when we are open, we allow our guides to bring others into our lives so they can help us....
So happy for you both.
Hi Family its Cindy
Happy Tuesday!
I am a mom of an adult woman of Chiari with a five year old girl. I have been blessed over the last week to have an open mind. Small things began to fall into place.
I met a social worker at the flea market Sunday and met with her today to try and help my daughter get insurance and any other assistance we can get her and her child. I also met a woman who uses crystals for energy. It was fascinating because my daughter and I both love crystals. I don't normally go to the flea market. My husband goes. It was so beautiful Sunday morning with crisp weather and I felt physically good.
Had I not had an open mind that Sunday Morning I never would have met those two beautiful people. By meeting them I was inspired to continue my research and note taking on Chiari in addition to my daughter and I finding a hobby we used to enjoy together hopefully become a current hobby we can share.
Thank you Chiari Group for starting my inspiration off Sunday Morning,
My day begins reading new posts and learning,
Love to all
Cindy
My treasure this week is my parents trying to get my craft supplies for me.......and I get new cell phone this week....which could end up being next weeks rant,.,lol..
Love the story of the deer......awesome!!!
I am an animal lover as well.....and love my grandpuppy Lucy....she is a sweetheart.
Ever since I was little, I had a great big heart for animals. I had a kitty that I raised and she actually thought I was its mother. Though I can't keep all the strays and give them a forever loving home, I try my best to find a home for each one I come across. I couple of years ago a baby deer got injured as his mother died being hit by a car. He lost his eye, but he survived it. The whole neighborhood helped take care of him. Though he travels to each persons home every couple of days, we made him an orange vest to help protect him from getting shoot by hunters that really don't know his story. I love how we all came together to save such a gentle loving deer.
Your post makes me smile. A French poet, named Anatole France, once said: "Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened." I know your soul is definitely awake, as is my own. : - )
Today I treasure just being able to slowly take my beautiful Trigger out of his stall and actually being able to ride him after so many months. Though he hasn't competed this year, he was as always a gentle creature. He knew I couldn't ride as we use to. But he was very patient with me. I will always treasure my horse.
Everyone here at MedHelp is so grateful for all the support you give to each other every day. We want to take a minute to say "THANK YOU" to each and every one of you, for making a difference in the lives of so many.
Best in Health,
Cheryl
