Terrible pain in lower back

I have been in terrible pain today in my lower back, which radiates down my leg...at times it is excruciating...and others its just tingling....from the spot in my back that hurts, all the way down my back feels very hot to the touch, on the right side only, all the way down. The headache and neck pain, arm pain and nausea is back as well today. Has anyone had a similar experience???

Hi...In doing some reading today...I saw that those with low levels of magnesium may have seizures and epilepsy...have u had these levels checked lately?

Just a thought.... Symptoms of Low Magnesium
The other symptoms of magnesium deficiency are difficulty in swallowing, constipation, urinary spasms, menstrual cramps, photophobia, chest tightness, neck pain, jaw joint dysfunction and breast tenderness. Magnesium deficiency primarily affects the nervous system. This causes insomnia, anxiety, hyperactivity, restlessness, panic attacks and premenstrual irritability. The symptoms arising out of peripheral effect on nervous system are numbness and tingling.

Low levels of magnesium also affect the heart. Palpitations, heart arrhythmias, high blood pressure and mitral valve prolapse are the common its common magnesium deficiency symptoms. Persons suffering from magnesium deficiency often experience desperate urge to eat chocolate.

Low magnesium levels can lead to seizures and also can cause low calcium levels.
Persons with epilepsy very seldom need to take extra sodium, calcium, or magnesium for seizure control. If your doctor finds that you have low levels in your body and no underlying disorder is identified, it may be reasonable to change your diet or take a mineral supplement. Taking extra doses of certain minerals can help to prevent side effects that may follow the long-term use of some seizure medicines.

All I can do is suggest some things that I have done...and a warm soak in a tub or a heating pad works well for me.
