Hello and welcome!  Like Selma said most of the Chiari specialists will want these tests done.  It is important that you are your own advocate and become as educated as you can on your condition.  If you think you need something you have to speak up and dont assume with Chiari that they know anything.  Unless of course you are with a true Chiari specialist.  Most of the time alot of docs are seriously misinformed when it comes to this disease.  Good luck to you and let us know how it goes.

Thanks Selma.  That's what I was thinking.  I don't want to come across as telling the doctor what to do bit I do think those  tests are important.  Again thanks.

Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

Yes, ur NS if a true chiari dr should want to do a CINE most do, not all, but most.....u need to know if u have over crowding and a CSF obstruction as well as a syrinx which a MRI of the cervical , thoracic and lumbar spine should help rule out,the lumbar spine MRI should also help with ruling out tethered cord.
