This is going to sound stupid.

This is going to sound stupid, but here goes.... When your having a bad day, could hanging upside down possibly help? I mean to take pressure off the spine-- I know its helpful for many back problems, what about Chiari?

Same here...I truly believe that I would pass out upon righting myself again...right now I can get up from sitting w/o getting a headrush..

I have heard in some cases that cervical traction has helped or cervical collars..but in other cases I have heard that to be very dangerous..

I know what you mean though..you feel like you would do anything to get rid of the pressure!!

I've always felt more pressure bending over. Used to think it was sinus pressure until I got the Chiari diagnosis. It's one of the symptoms that has NOT improved post surgery. Easy enough to avoid in most activities though ;)

HI...the only stupid question is one we do not ask !!

lol..well it does sound like a good idea in theory, but, many chiarians get more pressure bending over.....if u were to try this I would do so very slowly.

I always had an issue hanging upside down as a kid....even swings made me sick....if u have one of those inversion tables it may help to gradually invert...a friend has one and loves it...she is a chiarians too!! But she has had surgery for TC and she also has POTS..so she uses it more for the last 2 and not so much for chiari....

U never know until u try : )

Let us know how it works
