Well Crap!

NS started Mike on Decadron today (another round of steroids).  It's another taper down pack and the last one will be next Tuesday morning.  He sees the doctor Friday at 10am and if he is looking like he's spiraling again coming off of them then they will admit him to determine why his brain keeps wanting to swell.  Ughh!

Praying this does the trick this time!

My friend, who's surgery was 3 weeks before mine, developed sterile meningitis, while tapering too quickly.  She had a really rough go of it. She had to taper off 4 times!  She now has to wear an emergency bracelet for a year because her endocrine system is messed up from it.  If she were in an accident, she might need a shot of adrenaline because her body won't naturally produce it for awhile.  I hope he feels better soon.  The decadron made my face so fat and I couldn't stop eating!  I am so thankful I didn't have to take it any longer than I did. ( 10 days in the hospital and then like 5 days out)

I had Decadron w/no problems (I think that's why I felt Great after surgery!).  I hope this does the trick too.
