a little nervous

i have my appt with the new  NS monday and im a little nervous. people keep telling me "all hes going to do is tell you if you need surgery or not" but im looking for more answers you know? my main priority is to find out what i can do so im not having as many "sick days" as i am. because at least 4 days out of the week im down for the count. and the other days my symptoms are still barely manageable. i can barely do anything by myself at this point. and im scared that this new NS will give me no answers  like the last one. this one is specializes in chiari. and im hoping he can direct me to a NL that also specializes in chiari. i just want a better experience than last time.

  Hi...good luck with this Dr...and most NS's r going to view u as a surgical candidate or not ....they do not DX....they do not treat Chiari other then thru surgery...I hope they do have a working relationship with a NL so u can continue, but if he feels u r a surgical candidate is that something u want to avoid?...Sometimes u can't depending on what is  the situation....so always go with an open mind do not expect nething...and have someone with u to catch all the info that u miss.
