cerebellar slump

cerebellar slump

Has anyone had a cerebellar slump successively treated?   After decompression surgery and 3 more surgeries to try to fix the failed one, cerebellar slump is still a huge issue with debilitating symptoms.   Has anyone had posterior fossa box surgery?  Or know anything about it?
Also, how do I access the list of chiari doctors?  I've taken the link, but can't figure out what to do when I get there.
Thanks  Bec Pen

Try the Chiari Institute in New York.  They have a web site as well.  Just Google "The Chiari Institute" and you will find it.  Also the Cleveland Clinic has help in Chiari.  I understand John Hopkins is a good source as well.  Hope this helps.

Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

The link of the list of drs is just that a list of names...depending on where u r and what area u r willing to travel to u select a few names and do some research..we do have info on The Chiari Institute and The Chiari Center....When u see a blue hyperlynk just click on it...plus we do have  a thread right here on the forum......http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Chiari-Malformation/LIST-OF-CHIARI-SPECIALISTS/show/1293483

Brain slump or cerebral ptosis is what happens when too much bone is chipped away to make room for the CSF to flow....

I know of several people that had this repair...

Unfortunately it leaves a few  other issues a chance to overtake u...infection, a CSF leak, even IIH (intra Cranial Hypertension....)

U deff want a true chiari specialist to help u.....it is possible that u have issues as a result of the surgery and not the cerebral slump....

I hope u r able to locate a few others on here that can share their experience with brain slump, I know there r a few.....

We r happy to have u join us, but sorry for the reasons that bring u.
