From what I understand as a lay person here is that myelopathy is a condition that is aquired as stinosis left untreated developes into this and can cause balance and gait issues....this is something that happens as we age, but u r still a young person.
Also, those with chiari may live with it for yrs and never know, until a fall or MVA triggers it.....I strongly suggest u have another dr review ur brain MRI and cervical MRI .
U want to be checked for auto immune issues as well as a condition like Ehlers-danlos syndrome...which with the hypermobility type ur disks will move more easily to inpinge ur spinal cord....and a fall could effect the results u mention.
Please have a second opinion and review of ur MRI's and post an update

Well it is doubtful ur issues began as a result of bumping ur head or ur seizures...and I would deff want a second opinion. The symptoms of this overlapp with a good many other conditions.
Many with chiari r prone to auto immune disorders like DDD and stinosis, RA and many others.....
