chiari malformation type 1

Can this chiari be causing seizures in my 6 yr old daughter?

  It is possible they may not be related just as much it is a possibility they are...I would look into a true Chiari specialist to help you determine if the Chiari is causing the seizures to occur....

Keeping in mind Chiari affects the spine and brain stem, and these two areas can affect our entire body.....

Thank you i have a neurologist telling me that they are not conneted and he has never heard of the chiari causing seizures. Could he be wrong?

  Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

I saw you also posted on an older thread....I did answer you on that thread...but for those that open this one...yes it is possible...and it is possible for someone to have more then one condition....

Find a true Chiari specialist and have ALL related conditions ruled out.
