chiari?

hi,my daughter is 30 she has had two untethering one at 13 and 21 she is now showing signs of retethering someone mention on the forum"chiari" can you explain this condition.....harry

Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

It is possible that the scar tissue from the release of the tetehered cord to cause a re-tethering.

It is important to check to see if the cord being tethered could have caused chiari......TC constantly pulls down on the brain stem and can cause this condition plus it could cause a syrinx to develope.

U will want to find a chiari specialist.
