chiro uhoh

I am going back to the chiropractor tom.   I think I might have made a mistake going there but I don't feel I had a choice.   when one of the only docs who recognizes chiari 0 said I dont have it i had to explore other options.

I have had a horrible horrible day today.   Severe head aches, severe jaw pain (and the bad tooth has been cared for)  I am sooooo dizzy I can barely see straight.   I couldnt even go get the kids from school (I usually ride along and walk up and meet them at the door)   My neck is on fire the burning pressure in both shoulders and head (like when you get chlorine up your nose from swimming.

I so hope this is jsut something that happens in whiplash during the adjustments.  My chiro said it is but I am starting to feel like he is sorta a fraud and would tell me anything just to keep me.
I also switched my pcp over to him so he could file the workers comp forms for me.  I had to get some income for my family and I deff can't work like this.  I feel like I sold my soul to the chiro devil.

i can barely feel my toes they are tingling and numb.  I am scared.  I read a case where this women had a 3-4 mm herniation and was told she did not have a chiari and 8 months later after the chiro adjustments it was 15-20mm

sorry I was just needing to rant for a few and talk my fear and mistake over

thank you for listening
Angela

No it isn't normal. My mom has seen a chiro for years and has never expirenced the problems you are having or that I had. Like I said before ALL of my symptoms started the day I started seeing a Chiro. Just like you said about 30 min. after my appt. that is when everything would flare up. My mom see the chiro I went to and he still doen't think he was the cause of my problems and still wants me to come see him because he thinks he can help. No way will I ever go back. I don't know if it such a good idea for you to continue. My chiari is also small 2-3 mm. Obviously I am not a doctor but I have read to many horror stories about chiarians and chiros. I haven't ever heard a success story. I'm sorry I'm not trying to me your mom, I'm just concerned. Please do what you feel you need to, don't think I am telling you that you are wrong in seeing the chiro....just please be careful.

todays apointment didnt go any better.   I am not doing well this evening it seems that about 30 min after the manipulation everything starts.   although  i have never been to a chiro before so maybe this is normal.  the doc said it is but he may be a quack i still havent figured him out.

but Dr. H said I didnt have a chiari so there should be no harm in me having thesew done.  the NS at CC said i had one but it was minor and he didnt feel this would hurt anything.

maybe the symptoms seem worse cause of my fear.  I will try and just forget about everything else and see if things get better.

if nothing else the lump in my back is gone (it wasnt a real lump it just felt like I had a lump when I arched my back)

anyways trambeling continues sorry

I am so sorry to hear you are feeling so bad. I know you don't feel you have many options but sometimes you have to listen to your body. You knoow what feels right and what doesn't. I don't want him to make you worse. I'm scared for you. Please be careful and I agree with Selma, I would not have him touch your neck.

I was told under no circumestances to go to the chiro, not to even get massages near your head or neck.  I have had one massage, my husband is always pressuring me to get more (couples massages), but I really am not comfortable with them...

I hope you feel better, but please be careful!

this is a case of desperate attempts to get better.   I am gullible  and naive when it comes to most things.  I am really scared that I am going to anger the Chiari and have permanent damage.

wish I had other options.   The two other local chiros dont do workers comp.  and the only other doc that has helped is the er doc and she doesn't have her own practice.

there is something seriously wrong i am afraid.   My heart beat is unusually low and pulse pressure is weak.   it can't be the meds I have been on them for a few days and no side effects not even a little drowsy and if you are going to get the side effects you would get them in the first 24-48 hours.

i am sure all will be well just fear sets in when you dont feel right.  that feeling of impending doom that you can't shake.

anyways  thank you for the support and prayers.

JMO but this whole chiro thing kind of scares me. And frankly I am someone who in most cases will go with herbs, chiro or another natural method first, per norm.

symptoms, quality of life - IMO that is what the Doctor should be looking at. Remember you are the Customer. Just because a Dr demands you treat him like God does not mean we have to pray to him or show him the respect that belongs to the real God. Unlike with God we can always find a new Dr. that will care.

Please, take care.
