Hello. 0224, I remember reading that you were returning to your job as a dental hygienist at the beginning of February. You said you were going to do about 4 hour shifts. Are you still working? The dizziness you were talking to Selma about could happen if you are moving around a lot or looking down when you work on your patients. Does your dental chair raise any so that you can feel a little more comfortable in your neck? My neck gets painful and stiff from too much reading while sitting and having to look down at the book. Are you able to get rest when you are home?

When you look down it pulls on the cervical spine and some of that area inside may still be swollen from surgery and just from it being compressed b4 surgery, it takes time for all of it to relax and calm down.....

Surgery for Chiari is not flipping a light switch and it takes time....sorry.

Oh it deff gets better....but like everything, it takes time.....I will have bouts of it when I over do it or just not feeling well overall....but yes, it does get better. You are still in the early stages of healing....keeping in mind the nerves can take up to 2 yrs to heal completely....
