Haha we wouldn't notice because we have memory problems too:)  I have not noticed that I have done that but I do forget a lot of things.  Like why I walked in a room at work.  I even have a hard time coming up with words and say like blah blah blah what is that word... so frustrating!

Memmory and Drew don't get in the same sentence except if the word bad is added to it.  LOL  My problem are mostly short term memory too. Like forgetting the stovetop on or repeating 10 time the same thing witout noticing or have people recaling to me what I just said so we can have a conversation (sort of). But I notice it been worst in the last few years.

Mine is when I am stressed or in loud distracting place or if I am in a lot of pain. I have not had surgery. I can't remember words or phrases when I am talking and my 4 children are tired of me calling them each others name. 

I have not had the surgery yet, and I have been having the short term memory problems, since my majore symptoms started. I think that is what stresses me out more, since prior to finding out I had Chiari, everyone I work with thought I had a photographic memory, since at that time I could remember things so well. Then I had to hit my head on that steel beam, and now I am constantly double checking my work, and worrying about missing something. My supervisors somewhat understand that my brain is working differently now, but my co-workers that relied on me for remembering stuff, I have to keep reminding them about my head and steel beam accident.

Although I do say maybe I hit that steel beam for a reason, because I was having other medical problems that the docs could not figure out, but now that they know I have Chiari, the puzzle is starting to come together.

I have my good days and bad days, still trying to decide how long I can hold off before having the surgery. On the good days I feel like I can make it to my goal, but when I have a bad day, make me think can I really make it that far.

Today's a I made it to work day, so it going good so far.

Dawn :)

I had memory issues b4 surgery as my pain and symptoms worsened....but I find when I am stressed post op that it gets bad again....kind of like an overloaded circuit ....my brain can only handle so much....

I can still remember my older sister's first day of school...so it is not all memory, it is short term or recall at the moment...if I am being clear...lol...again I find when stressed it is more difficult to do, or say in a room that is over stimulating, too much noise, and activity going on, in a convo I will find it hard to retrieve the words I want....in a diff setting, I may not have the issue at all....

Ne one else notice this?

Well if you feel any better about this.  Look at the answer's you get when you repeat a question.  We just repeat a answer.  We Chairian's. LOL!!!.  I have to say I never noticed the memory problem until I had surgery, and I hope it goes away eventrually.  My hubby tell's me it doesn't help that we're getting older. LOL!!!!  we laugh because I don't remember and he can't hear so I can say it 100 times and he only hear's it once. LOL!!!! I also hope this get's better.  Does memory problem's happen to us all and is it just the one's who have had surgery.?? Would be interested to hear.
