I am one week post op and feeling fairly well but i have quite a few cuts all over my head that im guessing are from a halo? Tonight one of the started bleeding and its pretty big. Anyone else have these
no i am not sure what it is from but i have four that i know of, i keep finding new ones, and they are in the same spots on either side of my head. i was just kinda worried because it was so long and bleeding
I worked in Neurosurgery for 3 years. I'm a RN, as well as a Chiarian. Sounds like they did have your head held in place in the OR. This sometimes results with a few cuts into the scalp. If they continue to bleed where it wont stop, if there's any increase in swelling, or fowl drainage/ pus coming from them you need to f/u with your NS.
