halo during surgery?

I am one week post op and feeling fairly well but i have quite a few cuts all over my head that im guessing are from a halo? Tonight one of the started bleeding and its pretty big. Anyone else have these

I worked in Neurosurgery for 3 years. I'm a RN, as well as a Chiarian. Sounds like they did have your head held in place in the OR.  This sometimes results with a few cuts into the scalp. If they continue to bleed where it wont stop, if there's any increase in swelling, or fowl drainage/ pus coming from them you need to f/u with your NS.

no i am not sure what it is from but i have four that i know of, i keep finding new ones, and they are in the same spots on either side of my head. i was just kinda worried because it was so long and bleeding

I did have chunks of stuff in my haIr one pretty big on top of head...made me wonder if it was a hunk of skin and blood ... Yuck

I never heard of this.  I know they put us in Halo's, but I never heard of them causing problems.  Are you sure this is what caused it?
