can they find a thethord(sp) cord with out contrast on a mri and can someone explain to me what the contrast does in a mri please

From what I can tell...yes they should be able to spot TC using a reg MRI....it is possible to appear tethered when it is not because of positioning.I believe they may then do an x ray to see if there is scoliosis and how severe it may be.
