I have dentist appt at 11am today. Im scared im gonna bleed to death. I take vic daily and muscle relaxers. I feel thats gonna affect it. Tho i took my vic til right before my decompression. See the thing is a few years ago i had a tooth extracted and wound up in er cause it wouldnt stop bleedin. 2 hours to pack it to dtop the bleedin. This is a new better dentist but im terrified it will happen again. They gonna cut me and dig out a nerve that was left in there like 5 years ago. Its gettin absessed so it has to go and it hurts me
I couldnt sleep last night and im a mess. Come on dana, you jad brain surgery  you can do this? I just dont wanna be awake for it. Ugh. Thanks for listenin. I need to woman up huh

;)) i knew it...but let me tell u i am sometimes afraid of a fly and sometimes willing to fight a lion...we do make up our minds and sometimes are scarred of things we dont need to...great to hear u r doing fine

So happy every thing worked out.  Why do we get ourselves so worked up on the little thing's.  I'm the same way at the dentist.  Since surgery my teeth feel like they are deteriating.  I go to a new dentist also on the 8th and I'm going to ask him if all the surgeries would do this?   I have to try my brother's dentist, mine is getting to expensive and brother said this new one is so down to earth.  Acturally looking forward to seeing him.  I love getting my teeth cleaned. and it is crazy but I don't get shot's if I need a filling filled.  If we can have brain surgery and recover.  Dentist should be a breeze for us all.

  Good Luck Dana....I feel the same way for diff reasons going to the dentist....so no worries there.....

As Melody said, give a list of the meds u r currently taking to the dentist so they know what they r dealing with and let them know  about ur past experience....they will know how to handle it and u : P

All is well. I didnt bleed too much and have a few stitches.  Thank you all. I pancked for no reason. Ive just dealt with a crappy dentist before. As drs also. Its hard for me to trust them.

I was so worried last time I went to the dentist.  I hate going to the dentist! I had to get a crown.  I did not think about bleeding risk but I took my meds and gave them a list of my drugs and I was so relieved.  My new dentist was great!  Good luck at the dentist.

I use to work in Dental field. Just be very upfront with them and give them all the information...also, tell them of your worries/fears so they can make you comfortable and give you proper follow up care.

I will keep you in my thought. Keep us update. I don't like dentist either. But I got good news yesterday: I dont need to see him until next year.
