Glad to hear that you are managing it for now, I pray it doesn't get any worse!
BTW- I feel absolutely HORRIBLE when it's that time of the month..headaches, leg pain, muscle pain is 5x's worse...I wonder if that could be contributing?
Carolyn
U r welcome Lisa : )
Glad to hear u r able to manage it with OTC meds....
had the headache most of the weekend- but it didnt get too awful I think it was from that dye they give you-- plus too my period UGH--- so i was able to behave myself this weekend :)
still have a tinge of a headache but nothing requiring OTC so its all good, if it stays the way it should...
I was thinking --- wondering really-- if they said the shunt setting was ok but in reality it wasnt how long it would take for me to notice it, and have a headache?? Hmmm i dont think it would be immediate nor do i think in a few hours iam wondering if it would take days VS hours.. (good question for the hydro man himself --i'll let ya know when i find the answer)
Anyway- Iam doing alright, one foot infront of the other--
thanks Selma & Carolyn for the good vibes---
LOL...well I've been listening....haven't heard anything yet?? I hope you are feeling ok xx
Lisa...I am sending u good vibes~~~~ and prayers u continue to get good news and heal.

nl thought a disection of some vein or possible stroke- mra & mri
oh & xrays to make sure NO to both issues he thought --
x rays were to see shunt= so after all that went back to nls office-
and no disection and no stroke- weewh- he said im so glad it didnt turn out tht way and you didnt end up in hospital,,well yeah me too----before i got back to nls office the ns's office called said i didnt need to see them because xrays showed shunt settings didnt change---i really hope so because if i have any issues this wkend im gonna rip everyone i see from tht office a new one!!
TAKE ATIVAN!!! That's what I do...I get really clausterphobic too and for me it works like a charm...
I have to take it about an hour before so I am like a wet noodle by the time I go in there...LOL..
I hope it all comes out ok!!
Carolyn
OH Selma-PT Pete- said he thinks its c5-c7 that are affected. Maybe hes a bit off-- guess i will find out-
Ugh i just really really didnt want the mri not only am i clausterphobic (the meds work for me tho :) ) but i just nervous abou *** changing the shunt- and not convinced of the NS's office's ability anymore -(just dont want to go through what i did before)
Ahhh Carolyn- I remembered the right person :) woohoo! i never had the feeling before so to me it just feels completely weird- no not on anything new- but i do wish id get something because the neck pain is starting to get to me! maybe now i will get a muscle relaxer or something--
Hi Lisa..it was me that said that I have had the numb nose plus I have had the numbness under and around my eye. I had this symptom early on b4 things started to affect my legs. I think that it is cranial nerve damage, I have no gag reflex which indicates that. I have noticed lately that it has been coming back here and there, I though maybe it was the new med I'm on, are you on any new meds? Anyways, if it is a pinched nerve then it is possible the PT irritated it. Good luck, I hope you figure it out!
Carolyn
I have a spine chart that shows diff areas and what nerves go thru and what is affected...I looked for the nose...and there it was : ) numbness and tingling is also listed as an affect.
I would ask that he refrain from ur cervical spine and concentrate on ur shoulders...that may be helpful.
"selma"
all he did was put pressure on different areas of the spine to see if it helpt or increased the pain in my neck shoulder or elbow...............SO- this is what i get for that!!..BLAH
HI Lisa...C4 of the cervical spine can affect the nose...nerves that run thru there can also affect ur mouth , lips and Eustachian tubes, adenoids , and mucous membranes.
I would think that ur PT knew that...and from what I read, chiarians must be careful b4 and after surgery with neone working on our cervical spine.
I pray it is just a temp feeling that will go away...was it a deep tissue massage ...what exactly did the PT do?
