I am always amazed at how soon some go back to work, drive etc....and if I was able to (still had a job) I may have tried to go back soon too....but , I was terminated while out on leave and had nothing to go to and the way I felt nothing I felt I was up to learning new...lol...I also feel the fact I was able to take it easier at that time may have helped me with my recovery....keeping in mind I do have other related conditions that continue to give me symptoms and issues......
Just take more time listening to your body and if you need to take a break or cut your hours down talk to your boss and see if it is possible...
Thanks for your words of encouragement!
I can only imagine as I never went back to work....I also have not gone back to driving either.....but I have found it easier to do some things I could not do in my first yr post op ...so I know it gets better...and I am sure since you are doing what you are with work, that could be why you feel as you do.
I went back at the beginning of February 1 day a week. It has been very hard:(
I would imagine not...at least not at this point in recovery....as I have said b4 it can take up to 2 yrs for the nerves to heal...and the more you do can continue to agitate that area...
For me bright lights and noise , crowds all got to me in addition to bending my neck etc....I can not imagine the stress of getting to a job on time etc....
When did you go back to work?
Yes I look down to read plus my job as a dental hygienists is probably not good either
Hi...may I ask, are you looking down to read? if so, you could be pulling on the neck causing the pain.....raise your computer monitor up to eye level to help with this issue and it is not uncommon to have issues like this post op.
