pillow help

i've read a few peoples posts regarding pillows, but can't seem to find them again.  if anyone has any suggestions for a good pillow, i would be very appreciative.  i've tried the tempurpedic foam pillows and because i also have occipital neuralgia, it feels like i'm laying on a rock.  i need something soft yet supportive.  also, has anyone used a wedge?  i'm considering a wedge as well, because i am a stomach sleeper, and need to change that, it wrenches my neck.  thanks in advance for reading and suggestions.

www.medpillows.com also sells "zipper head pillows" specifically designed for chiari.  And the tempurpedic contoured memory foam pillow works good too.

While straight body pillows or "C" shaped body pillows can be comfortable, they typically will only support one side of the body for "cuddling". Long-time body pillow users find that they need the support on their back so they don't have to balance. This is why they prefer a pillow that can support both sides.

I went to bed bath beyond and took all the pillows to one of the display beds and tried them out.  I ended up getting a temperpedic cloud pillow.  I think the try them out is important:)

  I agree u do have to try them, it is one of the reasons I would not order a chiari pillow...there is no way to try it. May I ask, was the cloud pillow expensive?

130.00 my Mom treated me I did not even look at the price tags.  I just laid on the bed and tried one after another.  My head just hurts all the time .... New pillow and 2 sleeping pills I can now sleep 5 hours.  I should find out Monday if my neck has a syrinx.

Try Bed Bath and Beyond, they have some of the best pillows.  I can't remember the name of the pillow but there is one that has a U kinda shape to it where you can put your neck into.  Rylanesmom had a good idea of using the coupon, that should help with the pricing, but definately try it out while you are at the store.
