reflexes

does anyone have extra sensitive reflexes like when the dr hits ur knee with the hammer this has just started with me after surgery and it concerns my dr so I was just courious if anyone else was like that

Hi Molly...yes I do, I did have it tho prior to surgery tho too...so not sure if that helps...but is a sign of chiari to have brisk reflexes....

How are things going. My daughter goes back to Dr. Campbell on the 9th. She just had another MRI on Sat. morning.
I have back and neck issues and I have very brisk reflexes in my knees. My one knee especially.
Are you still seeing Dr. Campbell? What do they have figured out with you yet? Let me know how you are doing.

I have very brisk reflexes in my knees, but my arm reflexes and slow if not nonexsistant. I do however have a syrinx so that is most likely why my arms are bad. Also since I was little, I have had low Achilles tendon reflexes. I have not had any surgery.

I have very brisk reflexes in my knee too, especially on the bad side. The first time when my DR did it, I couldn't believe how it flew up!! Funny enough, some of my other reflexes are non-existent...it's weird how that is. This was before the surgery and actually, I am not sure what they are like after...it just occured to me that no one has checked yet... I will be seeing a NL in the future so we'll see :)

Yes, I have hyperreflexia, DXed by my nuerosurgeon.
