I have been trying to research Chiari malformation and it's associated illnesses / conditions etc. I feel that i'm at the point of just re-reading the same information and not learning anything new. For those of us who have CM and other conditions, learning about why our bodies behave as they do is very important, as most have had the 'chiari runaround' or are still on the runaround. Frustratingly, too many professionals do not know enough about the condition to treat us effectively. We feel disbelieved by the people who are supposed to be helping us. I really want to get down to the nitty gritty of why it affects us and what is going on in our heads to cause it.
info about any good books or internet articles that are relatively recent would be greatly appreciated.
Hi...have u googled ne of the Chiari Drs? Like Dr Bolognese, or Dr Oro...Dr Henderson....they all have info on websites...Dr B on TCI's and he has written many articles...same with Dr H, he has a wonderful video that was posted at a walk....and Dr O writes many books and articles.....I think if u start with the Drs names instead of just looking for Chiari info u may find more of what u r looking for...
I find this website to be particularly informative. You can read research summaries and they also have very direct, simple PDFs explaining Chairi, which I've found useful in explaining my condition to relatives, massage therapists, etc.
Thanks Selma, I will take a look at the docs and see where that gets me.
To czpdx - I have looked at that website and it is good, but I feel like I want to know more than what is on their website, but thanks for the suggestions.
