surgery soon

surgery soon

well, my surgery is soon aproaching April 13th. I am a little nervous I would like to wake up and have it be a month later. I stopped smoking on March 25th because its better for recovery but I seem to be more nervous now. well I guess I am just ranting. I believe this is the right move because I want my life back and I know their is no guarantes but I have to do something. If anyone has any advice on how to handle the next couple of days that would be great

Jen

Hi,

I understand totally how you feel.  I am a little while out from my surgery, but I still understand how your feel.  My surgery is may 21.  Waiting is the hardest part I think.  Good luck and i will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.  Take care.

Jen, am praying for you, my grandson goes this fri for 2 1/2 hr MRI maybe w/contrast.  guess they want to put him to sleep.  He has spine x-rays too, blood work, talk w/doc to get all results, surgery is wed. april 22.  His symptons seems to be getting worse.  At easter dinner he would almost gasp for air while eating!  I 'm very scared for him.  It seems every thing I read on this forum makes me wonder about the sucess stories!  I know it sounds like it's  really bad after surg.  & sounds like alot of your symtoms (symptoms) can return at least for some amount of time post surg. I would love to hear from some people who have a good quality of life, post surg.  I realize the more we are bothered by effects we are more likely to look for help here, so I'm hoping to hear some happy recovery stories.  I think when all is well, we just enjoy life & don't want to be reminded of this!  I hope and pray I'm right. Dr. said the younger you are, the better you respond to treatmeat!  I do love support groups, You all are so helpful!  Pain,  pain go away! mjq399
