tendonitis

Has anyone had De Quervain's  tendonitis.  I developed it all of a sudden and now its really bad in both wrists.  Had injection for left hand and go back for the right in 2 weeks (i am right handed).  I don't understand why I have it.  I have been waking at night over past couple years with painful elbows, but nothing during day.  I'm wondering if I have something else going on, or could this be related to chiari somehow?  It is quite painful and on top of everything with the chiari I don't feel like I can handle this right now.  Any advice would be appreciated.  From what i've read this tendonitis is common, so maybe someone here has had it, did it get better?  I also go to PT this week.  The injection didn't help much at all.  Using topical steroid cream too, trying everything, ice etc.

So now I'm on Levaquin for 3 weeks for a sinus infection.  One of the side effects is tendonitis.  I already have tendonits (both wrists) and everything has failed including physical therapy and steroid injections, i was referred to surgeon now as nothing has worked, have an appoint in November.  Should I take the levaquin if i already have tendonitis?  The sinus infection is bad saw ENT friday and put me on levaquin.  I know us chiarians have sinus issues and i've had previous surgery so have ongoing issues.  I've taken levaquin before (last winter).  Its like i'm treating one thing (sinusitis) that could exacerbate the other (tendonitis), and i don't want surgery for tendonitis but can't take the pain anymore.  ugh!!

I have really bad arm pain, mostly in my right hand for the past eight years.  I have been to the doctors several times and been told each time that they don't know what is wrong with me.  I am going for a second opinion.  The last ortho doctor I saw told me on the phone I had white spots on my bone which were nothing to worry about.  During a visit two weeks later we looked at my MRI and they were black spots, to which he told me he didn't know what they were...!

Hi...I was having elbow pain as well, I was told mine was due to Ehlers-Danlos.....in fact my drs had suspected lupus and were testing for it again for  like the 3rd time when they finally found chiari.
I did have a drop attack, and it was even considered I could have had a hairline fracture from the fall.
My Chiari specialist told me I had EDS and it was the cause of my joint pains.

I actually thought I had carpal tunnel...writing too much causes sooooo much pain it goes from the wrist up into the forearm.

I had never been given an inkling to tendinitis....so u make me go hmmmmmm

I find it odd that we both noticed this with pain in teh elbow????
