upcoming chiari malformation surgery

Hi, I have a decompression surgery and laminectomy scheduled for this saturday, we will be traveling by plane to wisconsin and staying at a hotel after the surgery, i was wondering if anyone had any tips for what to wear, bring or have at the hospital and also anything to have/help for the hotel stay as well as the plane ride home after i get the stitches out. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! thank you!
