why cant i hang upside down .

Hung upside down the other day and got the worst immediate head ache I could hardly move my neck in an up and down motion. Side to side was fine.I usually have a slower onset of the headaches and some turn into migraines but this was immediately migraine .it was bad can anybody tell me why hanging upside down would cause that. I was also.having nausea.

  Hi...well by hanging upside down, you are changing yet again how the CSF is being displaced....and the position of the cerebral tonsils.....

Not to mention all the blood rushes to our head when upside down, that rush of blood is trying to get thru a very small space....which is part of the headaches we get  with Chiari....so the added rush of all that fluid to the tight space will make our heads hurt, and nausea can also accompany it.

I always hated hanging upside down, from the time I was a young child....so, it is not surprising others have discovered this as an issue.
