wow! you people are amazing

I Am nine months post op.  I had a pretty good recovery and have done very well. Thank heavens.   I had the chiari decompression done.  They removed the back sides of the top two vertebrates.  I have dealt a lot with depession.  It is good to hear that I'm not the only one going through this.  Just one question,  I have been having this pain in the incision spot.  It's a pretty intense pain.  No swelling or anything like that.  Just excursiating pain.  Has anyone else dealt with this

It has been constant since last night but it is also the side I sleep on.  Thanks wouldn't have even thought about both those suggestions.

Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

I get pain in that area from time to time...may I ask is it a constant pain or if u lie down with that part of ur head on the pillow?

I notice some nights I can not have the back of my head on the pillow...so I lie on my side most of the time neway...but I understand how u feel.

I agree it could be the nerves Like lydelia mentioned.....and it just could be swelling due to weather...who knows, but if it keeps up or gets worse do ask ur NS about it.

Sounds like it might be pain from the nerves in your scalp trying to grow back? Maybe ... I don't know for sure. I know that I had two c-sections and had some incision pain from them and that is what my doctor told me then. ... 9 months out though ... hmmmm....

Bump.... anyone else? I am at a loss here.
