My ADHD nephew (who also has other diagnosed issues as well) recently showed my 8 yr. old video on his camera of his Mother's (my sister in law) naked 'booty'. I did not see the video myself but only just heard him showing my son the video.....saying he was going to 'blackmail' his mother....he thought it was hilarious....my son was not amused (he didn't laugh or even crack a smile.) At the time, I figured it was something stupid....her picking her noseNose fracture, or making a funny faceFace pain or something....idk....anyway later, I heard the nephew say something about his Mommy's booby.....come to find out later it was booty.....on the same camera, this boy was sharing video with me which he covered up at one point and said he had exposed himself. I've also heard from a 3rd party within the familyBirth control and family planning Choosing a primary care provider Ewing’s sarcoma Family troubles - resources that my sister in law had confided in, that this nephew had put his handHand or foot spasms Hand tremor down her pants and was feeling around one night when they were cosleeping........I find all of this to be concerning.....my son was embarrased and got very emotional/cried when we asked him gently about the video and if there was anything else we should know.....what should we do/how should we handle this?
I would make sure your sister-in-law is told about it as i'm sure she would be horrified that her own son 1) was filming her and 2) that he was exposing other people i.e your son, to it. It seems your nephew is at the age where he is perhaps sexually curious and therefore needs someone to talk to him about what's appropriate and what's not.
I imagine you've already talked to your son about the incident and would make sure he doesn't spend any time unsupervised around your nephew. :)
