19 month old with bitting and aggressive behavior

my daughter is 19 mths. old and is very aggressive towards others being an adult or child .. She didn't start until a couple of weeks ago... I have tried everything and nothing works..I was wondering if someone might have messed with her and i wasn't aware of it.. So if you could help i would appreciate it very much... She has really bit one little boy so much that he had bruse marks all over him... Thank for you listening...

Children under two tend to be very focused on their mouths, and when angry can tend to bite. Even at this young age, and actually it's a great benefit to start at a young age, she should be placed in time out immediately when she does this. It will likely not persist for long. If she tries to hurt someone, simply say "No" or "No biting" and place her right away in time out (at home, a crib or playpen or chair can be used). The timeout need only last a couple of minutes.

My 19 month old is going through the same problem and it is something that I wasn't prepared for because my first son was an angel.  I started looking at my own behavior.  Was I giving him the attention he needed?  He played well by himself so I often found myself doing household chores instead of waiting until he went to bed at night or during his naps.  Now it is strictly play time and chores can wait.  I have seen a dramatic difference in his aggression towards me, however, daycare is still an issue. He is still biting kids at daycare, but the best advice I have gotten so far is not to overact to bad behavior.  Young toddlers crave attention - whether it is positive or negative.  So my daycare assures me this is just a stage and with consistent positive attention, his aggressive behavior will be something he outgrows as his vocabulary grows.
