19 months old....not one word

Hi. My daughter is 19 and 1/2 months old and does not say a word.  She has never really babbled much either.  She just growls or makes an "ah" sound. Do you have any suggestions?

my daughter didnt say hardly a thing until she was almost 3 - I think alot will talk when they get ready.

my little boy did not talk until he was two.  we approached his pediatrician about this and he sent us to get a hearing test which turned out normal.  finally at age two he began talking.  at four now, he is just fine.  you may want to see if she has a problem with her hearing which could be making her slow to speak.
