How badly do your kids want to go to school? Keep telling them that big girls go to school and use the potty by themselves with no help and that they can't go to school until they are trained. If they have any friends that are their age that are potty trained, let them know this as well. This may entice them to become potty trained if they know that they are being challenged. With my own daughter, she had competition from her cousin who was only 2 yrs older than her. She wanted to go to school with her cousin so bad but refused to potty train. She didn't fully potty train until she was 3.5 yrs old but she did it in about a week of her cousin being at our house. She stayed with us for a while so my daughter and I took her to school every morning and when we got there, my daughter would escape into the classroom and try to hide from me and the teachers because she wanted to stay there and play with her cousin and the other children. We kept telling her that she could go there when she became fully potty trained like all of the other big girls were. Her and her cousin used to fight over the potty all of the time. Eventually she potty trained just before she went to school. But if she could've gone at 2 yrs old, she would've. She was just that interested in school because it was cool to her. Now she's in grade 5 and doing well. And she still loves going to school. It is hard to keep her home when she is sick, she absolutely hates missing school.
