3 1/2 year old having pooping issues

I see that this topic has been brought up before but my daughter's problem is a bit different than the other post I read. She is pee trained on the potty. She has gone poop a number of times on the potty but does not like it! She seems to get either scared, apprehensive, worried... not totally sure... about going. She will eventually go (usually) after sitting on the potty for quite some time crying, and having to hug us. We have tried offering a couple of jelly beans if she goes, or a small present (coloring book), she has seen us go, she has seen her classmates go, we tell her about people she knows that go... We just can't get over this fear or whatever it is that she has. She will cry for a pull up. If we were to put one on she would go within a couple of minutes. What can we do to help her get past this? Thank you!!

This is very typical of kids to do because peeing and pooping are really the only thing they have control over, so having to let this control go is scary. You as the parent have control over everything else and she knows this. My daughter who is now 10 years old was 3 1/2 before she completely trained. She was ready to go to kindergarten at 2 years old but obviously couldn't until 4 yr old. But I played this to my advantage by telling her that she couldn't go to school unless she was fully potty trained. I also only used the pull ups strictly for night time used or unless we were going on a long trip. Which wasn't very often at all. I would keep emphasizing about how all of her friends go to the potty for everything and how they are big boys and girls. Make it a challenge for her. Maybe this will get her moving. Also make it a rule of the house. She must follow the rules of the house, right?!  Reward her maybe with her favorite show, snack, treat at the end of a day or book, toy, or even spending some quality time doing something with one of you or both of you. Such as maybe cooking or baking or gardening or something like this. Do not give in to her demands for that pull up! Sit down and talk to her about it and tell her your expectations. I wish you the best of luck and I hope this works!

I forgot to put in here about getting her up every few hours during the night for bathroom use. After maybe 1-2 weeks, things should be okay.
