4-year-old beginning to jumble words

My son is four and a half years old and has begun reversing syllables when he speaks.  Such as "you gotfor" instead of "you forgot".  He has trouble remembering all the numbers from one to ten, when he knew them just a short time ago.  Is this something for which I should seek help?

Such unevenness in development of cognitive skills is not unusual, so in and of itself it does not invite concern. It would be perfectly reasonable to monitor this over the next six months, particulaly if he is going to be attending pre-school, to see how things proceed. If he does not make progress an evalaution would be indicated.
