4 year old hitting himself when he gets angry

My son had the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck two times. He is fine in all aspects except that when he gets angry he hits himself.  He never liked to be held like a normal baby, he had to be held with his tummy across your forearm instead of holding him the normal way. Would the cord being wrapped around his neck cause this behavioral problem? Any information would be helpful.

No, such a behavior would not be associated with such a development at birth. This sort of expression of frustration in a young child goes away on its own - I would not pay it any attention.
