4 yr old will not get dressed

My son refuses to get dressed each morning. He says that the clothes do not feel good or that they hurt. I desperatly need help

It may be that your son displays a type of sensory integration disorder, such as tactile sensitivity/defensiveness. It wouldn't be unreasonable to arrange an evaluation by an occupational therapist (the discipline trained to diagnose and treat sensory integration problems). Pending the results of such an evaluation, approach your son with an incentive system. For example, let's say that he enjoys watching Sesame Street on television. Permit him to watch the show only after he is dressed. To make a bit of a game of it, you can time him and see if he can 'beat the clock', or you can literally hand him a ticket (such as he would have at the movies) that allows him 'admission' to the Sesame Street show.
