5 1/2 year old touching penis

by jackiej, Jan 21, 2005 12:00AM
I received a call from a friend who told me her son advised her that a while ago he and my son were in a closet and pulled down their pants to show each other their penis. That seems normal exploration to me for 5 to 6 year olds. But then he said they kissed each other's penis. Is this normal activity for a 5 to 6 year old?

No, that would not be expected, and likely occurred because one of the boys had seen something (could have been a picture vs real life situation) or heard something to this effect. It defibnitely is worth following up via questions to the boys.
